Can you fix no hot water today?

Can you find a hidden leak?
Yes. A meter creeping with everything off, warm floor patches or mould on a wall all point to a leak behind the surface, and leak detection traces it before walls come out.
Do you work on gas?
Yes, gas fitting is licensed work and we do it properly, from cooktop connections to a new bayonet point outside for the barbecue. If you smell gas, ring immediately.
Can you replace an old hot water system?

Why do my outdoor taps corrode so fast?
Salt air. Homes facing the coast cop onshore wind off the Tasman Sea year round, and it chews external taps and exposed fittings years faster than an inland suburb. Marine-grade fittings last longer.
Why does sand keep filling my stormwater drains?
Wind-blown sand. Properties near the beach and dune line collect it in pits after a blowy day, so a proper clear means lifting the grate and cleaning the pit, not just the line.
Do older cottages have different plumbing problems?
They do. The Federation and inter-war homes around the Glebe often still carry original pipework, and some pre-1960s houses run galvanised supply lines that rust internally and strangle water pressure over the years.
What happens to drains in a big storm?
Older drains on the lower flats can surcharge in heavy coastal rain, and gully traps overflow when the line hits capacity. A clear helps, and a camera inspection shows whether the line copes.
